Board Meeting, May 19, 2021

MEETING ON May 19, 2021

Diane Kirchner (Vice President), Mike Porter (Treasurer), Chad Lindblad (Secretary), Ken Masuda (Member at Large), Manager Daniel Ortiz, and three homeowners were present.The meeting was called to order by Diane Kirchner (President Pro Tempore) at 7:00 P.M.

1) Approved minutes of April 21, 2021 meeting

2) Financial report presented by Mike Porter and approved by the board
April 2021 Financial Report: The fiscal year is from July 1, 2020 – June 30, 2021. At the end of April 2021 our total income is $645,570 or 99.3% of our budget plan of $650,014. A portion of the variance is due to CD income is lower than plan due to the low CD rates currently being paid. Our total operating expenses are $503,373 or 91.3% of our budget plan of $551,345. Grounds/Maintenance Materials are under budget by $31,093. Projects currently being worked will reduce the variance by the end of the fiscal year. Water is over budget by $6,060 but the combined other utilities are under budget by $7,960. Pest control is under budget by $8,615.

3) Discussed healthy and safe tree maintenance. The Board approved a subcommittee to develop a plan to guide ongoing tree care throughout San Antonio Village.

4) The Board approved the architectural change request submitted by 5078 #B Calle Real to install a railing along the front entryway steps.

5) The board discussed ways to remind residents to drive slowly while in the village. Options discussed included signs, speed bumps, and newsletter reminders.
